Program Schedule

The program typically runs for 8 weeks from June to August. Students are required to be in attendance for at least 6 weeks of this 8-week program. Students are assigned a mentor and an individual research project that will give them the opportunity to formulate hypothesis, design and perform experiments, and analyze data. The interns’ daily schedule is discussed with the mentor with typical hours being Monday to Friday from 9 am to 5 pm.
Upon acceptance, interns are expected to fulfill the required 6-weeks of research activities and to attend all mandatory training and scheduled seminars. Research Presentation Day/Closing Ceremonies is scheduled ahead of time and each intern is expected to give a 10-minute oral presentation on this day. All interns are therefore expected to be present. Participation to other summer programs that interferes with their commitment to the Discovery to Cure Internship Program is not permitted.
